Navy Seabee03/06/2010 3:43 PMAs a WW2 Seabee vet ,I appreciate what our young Seabees are doing today but I missed hearing our Seabee song which we play at all our reunions.My battalion spent 28 months in the Pacifac with no leave. mail was v-mail took about 2 to3 weeks to get it,with a lot of dear John letters.Didn,t see a woman except for the natives until we saw the Bob Hope show.we didn't have cell phones to talk to family and friends.
