I am astounded to find such an exciting website, as I have been a F4U Corsair fan, and flying a couple model F4U's and am not just a model aircraft pilot, I even worked at De Havilland in Toronto because of my love for aviation, aircraft, the people who build them, and of course for people who care about them.
I even used a radio to play the Marine Hymn before taking off at our model airfield, which I would like to call Pappy Boyington Field...

Thank you for this great footage where the real ones make me shiver, it's definitevly fascinating !

Mugs21,

You should be damned proud for your service on the Coral Sea off Viet Nam. I am sorry what happened to her "in the end". I wish we could keep %26 preserve every ship in the Navy, for all future generations of Americans. I was sad last year when we sent the Oriskany down in the Gulf of Mexico, but it's good to think of her "still at work" as part of the reef protecting our coast. Who knows, maybe we've already shaved with razor blades from steel from the Coral Sea!

I am so proud of this plane captain, and all our veterans. I was born in 1959, and take every opportunity to listen to their stories, because to me, they %26 their friends are our living American History, and their experiences MUST be preserved. God bless them all.
